Speed is always fun, even on tour. The Avid mechanical disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power on the downhill stretches, even with a heavy load. The Kettwiesel Tour includes an Ortlieb Hase Luggage Seat Bag, which holds a whopping 50 liters of gear and hangs securely on the seat back, ensuring a low center of gravity for stable handling. The optional Ortlieb front panniers offer even more luggage capacity with excellent handling properties. Plus, if you get caught out after dark, the SON hub dyanmo and standlight provide a high-tech lighting system for the trip. The 27 speed gearing and differential round out the package on this optimized touring trike.
Getting in and out of the seat is easier than on a tadpole trike, because you sit higher and can get your heels under your body. The KettWiesel is surprisingly stable in the corners and has a left turn radius equal to the length of the wheelbase.
