To Our Valued and Loyal Customers:
Seasons’ Greetings and Happy New Year. This announcement is a mixture of good news and bad news. First the bad news. My mother is very ill and Steve and I are taking Trike Shoppe on the road and opening up a second location in Houston, Texas within the next three to six months, so I can be closer to her.
The good news? The original Trike Shoppe
has moved inside one of Fort Lauderdale's treasured bicycle stores -
Bicycle Spot, located at 5074 N. Dixie Highway, Oakland Park, FL 33334.
We chose Bicycle Spot because its proprietor, Peyton Walters, is of the
belief that anything resembling a bicycle is good so long as it allows
someone to ride. As many of you know, the only reason we ever started
Trike Shoppe was to enable people to cycle, who may have been told that
doing so would be difficult or impossible. Steve has always said that
we would sell a trike to anyone who walked in our door. However, our
hearts are mostly in helping people with special needs regain their freedom. So
Peyton shares our goals in this area. Furthermore, like us, Peyton is eager to bring trikes into the mainstream bike culture. With this new collaboration, Trike Shoppe will be able to continue to offer the same great sales and service to trike customers that we’ve been offering for over two years in South Florida. Models of the trikes we sell will be available for test rides and purchase in Peyton's shop. So, you might say that Trike Shoppe is spreading its wings, expanding its coverage area and honing our inventory to better serve our original customer base.
