In a Nutshell: The age old expression; “one thing leads to another” couldn’t be more true. After designing the RT60, we knew we were onto something. which was filling a niche sorely missing in the recumbent pannier market. The RT40s were a natural addition to the popular RT panniers. The main focus of these panniers is to make a recumbent specific bag that could be used on a mid-ship rack as well as a rear rack. To fit mid-ship racks, we needed minimum clearance between the pannier and the seat, so we designed it without a top pocket and put the hooks at the maximum allowable height on the back.
